It is a dream of mine to visit Russia one day, it is such a big country with so much history, I would love to experience Russia one day. I love travelling and I have been to many places, but I haven't made it to Russia yet. The time will come 😀
Thank you for the greeting card from St Petersburg, it is beautiful. Thank you also for the video you sent, it is great to hear myself on your Soviet tube radio! I also have a tube radio, a Hammarlund HQ-129X, it is a wonderful experience to do SW DXing on the Hammarlund.
Like you, I enjoyed SW DXing as a teenager, it was in the late 1980s. Shortwave was like the internet then, it was where I could learn about the world. I listened to Radio Moscow often, I still have a programme guide from Radio Moscow from those days. I wrote to various pen pals around the world back then, Radio Netherlands had a pen pal club. One of them, in Germany, is a friend to this day. Those were the days when people had time for long letters, no distraction from the digital world. To be honest, sometimes I miss those days.
My eQSL is attached. I had a look at your website, it is very nice. I saved it to my favourites, I will visit it regularly.
